The state of Nevada is fairly considerate in terms of record expungement requests of nearly any caliber. In fact, ranging from 2, 5, 7, 12, all the way to 15 years most offenses are eligible to request pardons, being ‘set aside’, sealed, and in some cases expunged. However, major weapons charges, most acts of violence, possession with intent to resell drugs, charges involving minors, and sexual assault often do not receive comparable leniency or eligibility for such record-concealment. It’s worth understanding that it’s ideal to request charges that are sealed to be later expunged, if eligible, as this is as close as a ‘guarantee’ comes to not allowing the public access to your criminal record(s).
