In the state of Vermont most convictions, regardless of nature, are not eligible for record-sealing or expungement unless under special deferred sentencing and diversion problems, or charges that were later reversed, per 13 Vermont Statutes Annotated ยง 5413. Destruction or expungement of DNA samples and data are only eligible under the circumstances in which charges were dropped or convictions reversed. Outside of these variables there are really no other options for expungement.
